RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD = ENCOUNTER
We believe that to have an faithful walk with the Lord, one must commit to a regular time to gather together with the church to encounter the heart of the Lord. At these celebration gatherings you will experience authentic worship through challenging Biblical teaching on issues that are relevant to the days in which we live, music designed to honor God, testimony to the life change that Christ brings, prayer to the Creator of the universe, and ultimately any activity that glorifies God.

The 10:45 Blended Worship Service has the same scripture readings and sermon as the 8:15 Traditional Worship Service but the atmosphere is more casual. There is special music every Sunday performed by Joyful Noise Praise Band and the Mt. Zion Women's Quartet. Joyful Noise also accompanies the congregation for praise hymns. There is Children's Church available during this service for children from 3 to 8 years old.
In 2015, as part of Matthew Beyes’ journey to becoming an Eagle Scout, he created our Labyrinth at Mt. Zion. The Labyrinth is in the form of a circle with a meandering path from the edge to the center and back out again (unlike a maze). It’s large enough to be walked into and out of. The Labyrinth has only one path and once we make the choice to enter it, the path becomes a metaphor for our journey through life. We hope during that journey you will take advantage of our Labyrinth to pray and/or meditate.
Ways to walk the Labyrinth: In an attitude of solitude – come to balance within the self; With a loved one – to bring your life and stride into harmony; With your family – to create a sense of understanding and unity; With a group – to join in purpose and celebrate community.
ALL are welcome to use our Labyrinth. You do not have to be a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church to walk our Labyrinth. We ask all to be respectful of others sharing its space.
Small Groups, Bible Studies, and Prayer Groups
Whether you are a non-believer or a committed Christian, you may benefit from learning and discussion with others who are each in a different place on the path. Stop in on Sunday morning to find out more!
